Club Ambassador/Coach
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, O. Dwight Gardner, has over 25 plus years of wrestling and business experience. Gardner's accomplishments on that mat include a Florida State Wrestling Championships for Miami Palmetto Senior High School. He then attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where he was a 2x MAC Conference Champion, 2x All-American, and NCAA Division 1 national champion at 158lbs. Off the mat, after earning his degree in Marketing and Information Systems in 1998, Gardner has been a business owner and technology consultant for the past 25 years. As a coach, he is a USA Wrestling Bronze Level Certified Coach.
Director/Coach
Born in Mandeville, Jamaica, Dwight Spence, has been involved in the sport of wrestling for over 30 years and has traveled extensively internationally. His accomplishment on the mat includes being a Captain of numerous district, city, regional teams at Miami Palmetto Senior High School in Florida. He furthered his athletic and academic careers at North Carolina State University, as a member of the varsity wrestling team while completing his studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Off the mat, Spence spent over 25 years as a senior technology consultant and project manager in the finance and healthcare industries. As a coach, he is a USA Wrestling Bronze Level Certified Coach.
Technical Director
Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Rick F. Henry, has extensive international wrestling and business experience from Jamaica, Canada, and the United States. Henry's accomplishments on the mat include placing at numerous Ontario provincial and Canadian national tournaments. After attending secondary school in Brampton, Ontario, Henry competed attending York University and the University of Guelph in Ontario. Henry was also of member of the Canadian national wrestling team at the 1999 Pan Am Games in Winnipeg. Off the mat, Henry has been involved in urban and community development in Canada and the USA as a business owner and expert. As a coach, he is coached at the secondary, university, and international levels in Canada and is also a USA Wrestling Silver Level Certificate candidate. He also coached for Jamaica at the u23 worlds, senior world, senior Pan Ams, 2018 Pan Am Games, and 2020 Pan Am Olympic qualifiers.
